Senior GL Accountant with German

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with local regulations and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, HGB).
• Ensure compliance with legal and corporate policies in accounting and finance.
• Manage the full general ledger cycle, including regular account reconciliations (e.g., bank accounts, receivables, payables, provisions).
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, identifying and correcting any discrepancies in entries.
• Prepare management reports and analyses, and support external audits and tax reviews.
• Optimize accounting processes and support the implementation of new ERP systems.

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of English and German (B2).
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., Certified Accountant) is a plus.
• Several years of experience in accounting in senior roles; SSC experience preferred.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards (IFRS) and strong knowledge of accounting principles is a plus.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
