Controlling Manager (Ukrainian market)

Our client is a company operating in an industry where technological innovation and passion for improving the quality of human life are the order of the day. The position for which we are seeking the right person can be located in Warsaw or Kyiv and does not require business travel. The person in this position will be responsible for our client's Ukrainian market.

The Financial Controlling Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s financial planning and controlling activities, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes, and supporting decision-making through detailed analysis and strategic financial insights. This role combines leadership with hands-on financial management, focusing on budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial performance monitoring. The Financial Controlling Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining financial stability, improving financial performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s objectives. Collaborate with senior management to align financial plans with overall business goals.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the preparation of the annual financial budget and regular forecasts. Ensure accuracy in predicting future financial performance and manage any variations from planned budgets.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Ensure compliance with corporate reporting standards (GAAP), regulations, and financial policies.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor key financial indicators, including revenue, expenses, profitability, and cash flow. Analyze variances and provide recommendations for improving financial performance.
Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures and ensure optimal use of resources in line with the company’s financial goals.
Cash Flow Management: Ensure timely and efficient cash flow management. Oversee the company’s working capital and liquidity to meet operational needs and strategic initiatives.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal financial controls and compliance with corporate governance standards (SOX). Ensure adherence to financial regulations, accounting principles, and relevant industry standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (sales, operations, accounting, etc.) to ensure financial goals are met and financial information is accurate and accessible.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Knowledge of accounting regulations (standards) and other normative legal acts of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Expertise in financial software and ERP systems.
Good knowledge of English and Ukrainian language (Polish will be advantage)
