Chief Accountant

Key Responsibilitie:

• Ensuring accounting is conducted in compliance with applicable standards and regulations;
• Overseeing the accuracy of all accounting operations, including liabilities, receivables, and the general ledger;
• Monitoring compliance with generally accepted accounting policies and internal regulations;
• Ensuring the integration and uniformity of financial information;
• Maintaining the highest level of internal control over accounting operations;
• Coordinating the month-end closing process and ensuring timely execution;
• Preparing financial reports for the Group;
• Managing annual audits and cooperating with both internal and external auditors;
• Organizing and managing the accounting department and its team;
• Collaborating with other financial departments such as controlling and asset management.

Requirements:

• Higher education in economics, finance, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position;
• Practical knowledge of capital company operations;
• Strong understanding of corporate finance, tax law, and commercial law;
• Experience in accounting and tax matters, including financial statement preparation;
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage a team;
• Practical knowledge of IFRS reporting;
• Advanced MS Excel skills;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and people management skills;
• Decision-making ability and a strong sense of responsibility;
• Fluency in English and German;
• Fluency in Polish will be additional advantage;
• Knowledge of Navision financial and accounting software is a plus.
