Our Client, global tech company is looking for a passionate Candidate
to strenghten their Finance team:
 

Technical Accountant
(Senior Accountant)

Poznań

Responsibilities:

  • Assistance on IFRS accounting issues and developments including treatment of high value and complex M&A and non-systematic transactions, impairments and dispositions, revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, derivatives, etc. and other financial accounting and reporting matters that may arise.
  • Assist in managing the process for implementing new standards/policies across the group and to ensure appropriateness and consistency of policy setting and application
  • Delivery of Technical accounting training ? annual comprehensive IFRS updates for and ad hoc training as required
  • Preparation, maintenance, communication and governance of technical accounting papers
  • Assist in the preparation of issues logs and judgement papers for technical compliance
  • Research new or proposed accounting standards and summarize potential impacts.
  • Assist in automating processes and procedures and in the operational implementation of accounting policies.
  • Provide training and guidance related to new policies and standards as they are adopted.
  • Assist in the assessment of business and reporting impacts of complex accounting matters.
  • Analyze the impact of emerging accounting standards on the Company and assist in implementing and educating divisions of necessary changes; ensure proper disclosure in public filings.
  • Assist with corporate accounting review of significant new customer contracts for appropriate revenue recognition considerations.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Serve as liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Assist with special projects and perform various other tasks and ad hoc analysis as assigned.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in Big4 technical department would be an asset.
  • A Bachelor degree in Accounting/Finance with ACCA, CA, RA, CPA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Min. 3 years relevant experience.
  • Audit of global multi-nationals (i.e. group reporting) with multi currencies would be preferable.
  • Good understanding of financial systems (HFM/OneStream) used in the company is a plus.
